Doing a little cleaning tonight and finally found a couple of boxes of models that I’ve been looking for for ages. The boxes was marked “printed matter”, and yes, the top two thirds was various documents (including brochures for my old W210, 1999 Ford Windstar and Alfa 164), but the base was packed with the two trays of missing cars.

These are really cool. They maybe went too far with the Ejected from Car Gilles Villeneuve.

Ouch - that’s not the Zolder model, but is meant to fit into the 1/43 scale racecars. I’ve got a couple of models of the 126C2 that he fits into, including the Long Beach version of the car with the wide, dual wing (I was there at that very race when I was a kid, and got a chance to see my hero just weeks before he died) as well as the full aero, no front wing version that I think is probably the best looking F1 car of all time. I did show those models in a post a few months back and didn’t want to put up any duplicatess. I’m not sure why he’s not installed in the vehicle, but since I tend to misplace things all the time, I probably haven’t had the car and the driver in the same place at the same time.
